In version 5.42.x Standalone LAN REQUIRES that all workstations have the same date/time for their system clocks. Different system times may result in data not being updated on the standalone workstations.
For example, if one of your workstations has a clock that is 10 minutes fast, that workstation's standalone dataset will miss 10 minutes of updates from the other stations. See the following situation:
1. Standalone Station A - synchronizes with the main dataset at 3:00 (but the standalone station's time is incorrectly currently set to 3:10)
2. Main Dataset Updated - the main dataset has changes made (i.e. new inventory item created) at 3:05
3. Standalone Station A - the next time the standalone synchronizes with the main dataset, it will be looking for any updates made after 3:10 (the last time it synchronized). Since the new inventory item was added at 3:05 - the standalone dataset will not be updated with that information.
Version 5.60.x and later have changed the way this works so that it is not reliant on the system clock.
