You have launched the training application with your live data

Cause

  • Upgrading from 6.0.78 to a newer format may flag the Training dataset as not a Training dataset.
  • This causes the error message, “You have launched the training application with your live data” when trying to log in to the Training dataset.
  • SystemFive.exe launched from a folder having the “TrainingApp” file in it will cause System Five to see if the dataset that is opened has a file call “Training” near it.
  • Newer program versions may look for the existence of the “Training” file in a different place than before.

Solution

  • Copy the “Training” file in the TrainingData (or equivalent) folder and paste it into the TrainingData\_datafiles folder.
    • If there is no “Training” file to copy, create an empty text file with no extension and named as such.
    • Then, place a copy of it in probably both the TrainingData and the TrainingData\_datafiles folders.
