+Below is information on how to update System Five to Version 6.0
 +\\
 +\\
 +
 +**__Upgrade Instructions__**
 +
 +
+There are several important steps that need to be completed when performing a **major** upgrade to System Five:
+  * **We strongly recommend upgrading your TRAINING dataset before upgrading your LIVE dataset**.  The TRAINING upgrade is a "dry run" that will allow you to try the upgrade without affecting your LIVE system, record how long it takes, and validate that it completes successfully.
+  * **We recommend producing reports from LIVE System Five in advance of the TRAINING upgrade to clean and record the state of your data** (see Upgrade Instructions).  Once the reporting steps are completed on your LIVE dataset, immediately make a backup copy which can be used as your TRAINING dataset (see Upgrade Instructions).  You will use these reports as a comparison to the same reports which will be produced after the TRAINING upgrade. The reporting will verify the data conversion was successful and give you peace of mind for the LIVE upgrade.  When the TRAINING update is completed successfully, you can proceed to upgrade the LIVE with confidence.

+**__System Five TRAINING Upgrade (to meet PCI Requirements)__** \\
 +
+Before upgrading to System Five version 6.0, you will need to be running **Pervasive 10**. Call your account manager for information about the upgrade to Pervasive 10. \\
 +
+//**Note:** On **Step #6** below if you are presented with a **Expired License Code** message, and aren't able to update, you will have to call in to your **Account Manager** and purchase **software renewals**.//
+To begin the process of updating System Five to Version 6.0, please follow these procedures step by step: \\ \\
 +
+**1.** Start by running the required reports in your **LIVE** System Five. The reports will verify the integrity of your data before and after the upgrade. [[http://wiki.wws5.com/doku.php?id=reports_to_run_for_major_updates|click here for the reports that need to be run.]]
 + \\
 +
+**2.** Once you have run all of the reports, verify there are no **integrity errors**. Any unusual integrity errors need to be resolved before upgrading.  See <wiki link> for instructions on resolving Integrity errors.
 + \\
 +
+**3.** After integrity issues are fixed and the reports are run against current data, you need to make a **backup** of your LIVE System Five Data. [[hthttp://wiki.wws5.com/doku.php?id=backing_up_your_system_five_data&s=backup|How to backup System Five Data.]]
+Note: **EVERYONE** will have to be logged out of System Five when doing a backup
 + \\
 +
+**4.** You will use the new **backup** as the TRAINING dataset to perform the "dry run" upgrade on. You will upgrade your LIVE System Five dataset after a successful upgrade to the backup TRAINING dataset.  [[http://wiki.wws5.com/doku.php?id=create_a_training_dataset|How to create a Training Dataset]]
 +
+**5.** When you have your TRAINING dataset updated with the backup of the current LIVE dataset, you are ready to do the update to the TRAINING dataset.

+**14.** Once System Five has checked all the files, it will undergo the **re-encrypting credit card** section of the update. Please note that this part of the update takes the longest to finish and the duration depends on the size of your **dataset**
 + \\
 +
+**15.** When completed, System Five will prompt you with a message stating how long it took to complete the update. Click **ok** and **restart System Five**.
