New MasterCard BIN 2 Ranges

MasterCard is introducing a new series of card numbers that start with 2

The new range is 222100-272099
To begin accepting these cards you may have to

  1. Upgrade your Netepay version. If you are on a current version you may be able simply install an updated version at no cost. If not you will have to contact your Account Manager for an upgrade.
  2. Upgrade System Five, or manually enter the new card ranges as below.

Netepay Versions Supporting BIN 2 Ranges

These versions require an update. If your version is not listed, either your version is ok, or it is too outdated to update, an upgrade is required.

  • Global Terminal - NDC 5.06.10 - Release date: 10/14/2016
  • Heartland Term - HLT 5.06.10 Release date: 10/06/2016
  • Heartland Portico Host EMV - HPH 5.06.10 - 5.06.11
  • Paymentech Term - PNS 5.06.10 - PNS 5.06.10
  • Paymentech Canadian Host EMV - not available
  • TSYS (Vital) Term w/ Tokenization - VS2 5.06.10 Release date: 10/07/2016
  • TSYS (Vital) Host EMV - VSH 5.06.10 - 5.06.14
  • FDMS Buypass 5.06.10
  • FDMS Nashville 5.06.10
  • FDMS North Cardnet Term - CIT 5.06.10
  • NETePay FDMS Rapid Connect Host EMV - RCH 5.06.10 - 5.06.14
  • Elavon (Nova) Host - upgrade to Elavon Host EMV - ELH 5.06.10
  • Elavon Host EMV - ELH 5.06.10
  • Moneris Canadian Host EMV - MSH 5.06.10

Entering new card ranges manually

You only need to do this if you don't want to update System Five. Unfortunately they don't span the whole 2 range so the list is lengthy.
Select Setup Wizard, Payment Processing, Credit/Debit/Gift Card Ranges tab, Click on Card Number Ranges.
Add the following ranges in the Mag Stripe Cards, Credit Cards Tab.
Leave End Range, Pre-Amble and Post-Amble blank.
