Partsmart Configuration Steps
1.Enable option - setup wizard→Use partsmart
2.Set Price Adjustment to 1.0
3.Set Non Stock category to any non stock inventory specified by customer - usually this is 999.

4.Make sure to log in as administrator on the computer upon installation of partsmart.
5.Make sure to install partsmart executable as admin - right click →run as administrator.
6.The partsmart setup.exe is saved on the server (shared_folder\Partsmart\PS8\Clientsetup\setup.exe).
7.After installation of setup.exe for parstsmart - run partsmart - right click and run as administrator.
8.Add the BSV path - make sure to point as always to C:\Windward\System5\bin\part.exe.
9.This path should be satisfied, if the directory it is sitting into is only C:\System5\bin, then changed it.
10.Exit out of partsmart - file→exit
11.Make sure version of part.exe is 1.0.0.0.
12.Add to windows registry -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/System
Name: EnableLinkedConnections Value: 1
13.Checked options for both applications - properties→Compatibility tab→changed settings for all users →run as administrator , click apply and OK.
14.Restart Computer.
15.Log back in as admin.
16.Register systemfive.exe.
17.Run CMD as administrator.
18.Changed directory to C:\Windward\System5\bin.
19.Register the file (systemfive.exe /regserver) To register systemfive.exe and its opening the program,register the key below as reg file.

20.Run both application - test searching for items on any catalog
At this point communication for both application should be working.
