This is an old revision of the document!
For Canadian Mercury EMV with the VX810 Pinpads please follow these instructions.
Use with the following processors. Windward Software has no processing or support agreements with the following processors and are therefore, they are usable, but unsupported by Windward Software Inc. Let them know that you are processing using datacap NETePay.
Datacap NETePay must be purchased from Windward Software in order to activate it. It is available in Single Lane or Multi-Lane. Windward Software strongly recommends you purchase the Multi-lane which is comparable to purchasing 2 single lanes. Single-Lanes can not be traded in on Multi-Lanes. Expect some delay in getting a processor and pinpad operating.
When installing NETePay you must select to install the HOST or TERMINAL version. HOST or TERMINAL version will be determined by your processor.
:!:Ensure that your processor has AUTO CLOSE turned ON! There is no method to close the batch using NETePay HOST.
Windward Software recommends that when you sign up for a merchant account that you select HOST, however some functionality is not available on the HOST version of some processors, such as the ability to perform Pre-Auths. Please contact Craig at Windward Software if you need information on choosing the best processor for your needs.

* Information on NETePay setup needs to be saved during install, and needs to be saved somewhere standard - We need to now whether it is multi lane or single lane - We need to know whether it is host or terminal - We need to know which processor we are dealing with - We need the complete set of information originally used for the setup. * NETePay can cause performance issues on the server, it should often be a different machine that is always on and not be on the server. - This customer actually was moving servers due to performance issues, so it doesn't make sense to move the NETePay server * NETePay has to be re-licenced on when it is re-installed. This opens up the possibility that if we don't have all the correct information that we could take down their ability to process credit cards. - As part of a non-booked or Urgent/Tech on site call it would not make sense to perform this task. We should give ourselves some time and if the install really has to happen we should book it.
