If you are unable to view the System Five Help File by clicking the documentation button or by pressing F1 the following will resolve the issue:

  • Ensure that you are running System Five locally on each PC (i.e. c:\system5\bin directory) and have synchronization functioning properly
  • If your shortcut to System Five is to a networked drive, the following registry entry will allow the viewing of HTML help accross a networked drive:

REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions] “MaxAllowedZone”=dword:00000003
